As seems to be the tradition, I’ll start with a little bit about me. Well, it is my blog after all.

I’m Dave. Thanks for dropping by.

Not enough? Ok then.

I’m now somehow in my 50’s, I’m somehow married (to an amazing woman who is clearly angling for some sort of knight or saint hood) and I’m somehow revisiting the creation of a personal blog in the year 2024... I also seem to like the word ‘somehow’.

I’ve been working in IT for my entire working life, my first internet connection was via Compuserve (ask your parents) and my first computer was a ZX Spectrum (rubber-keyed, none of this new fangled Amstrad m’larky).

I enjoy keeping up with technology, video games, mountain biking, the outdoors, campervans and much more.

This blog is for me to share some of my ramblings... because after all, what the world really needs is the unasked-for opinion of yet another middle-aged, middle-class, white, cis-male... amirite?
